Halloween

by

We had an interesting Halloween this year. First, everyone has felt really crappy with the flu bug going around. Then the weather was chilly and windy, not good when you’re already sick. And poor Maegan had to go to the dentist first thing in the morning yesterday. We thought she was just going to get a couple of cavities filled. But when they looked at her teeth yesterday morning, they decided that it would just be easier to pull them. So Maegan had four teeth pulled Halloween morning. All four of them were front and center too. Now she has a huge gap in her smile. Two of the teeth were really loose and about ready to fall out on their own, but the other two were still hanging on pretty tight and caused quite a few tears on their way out. Shoot, they almost made me cry just watching them pull those two teeth. After she got over the pain and blood, Maegan was afraid the kids in her class would make fun of her for having so many teeth missing in front. She was really nervous going back to class after seeing the dentist, but she didn’t want to miss her class Halloween party. When she got home yesterday I asked her if anyone had noticed her missing teeth. She said “Yeah, I kept showing everyone and they thought it was cool.” Go figure. Kids are a riot I swear.
