Post Surgery
I survived, but I feel terrible. I had no idea how sore the surgery would leave me. They gave me a prescription for lortab to ease the pain. Unfortunately, I can’t take Lortab. So I’m going without any painkiller at all. Not pleasant, but I just remind myself that this too shall pass. What really sucked was not being able to get the anti-nausea prescription either. Nausea is heinous, and this isn’t even the kind that when you vomit the nausea lessens. This stuff makes you hurl and still feel nauseous. I better not be sick tomorrow. I love Thanksgiving, and I do not want to miss out on all that yummy food. Leftovers just aren’t the same as eating that nice big meal fresh on Thanksgiving Day. This is it for today folks, I need to go lay down.

Hi,
Here’s some ideas about your pain if you have the stuff around. Of course I odn’t know what kind of operation you had and I am not a doctor or any certified practioner. If you have any ginger around, it can settle your tummy and begin reducing pain. Peppermint tea or chamomille tea can also help. Peppermint sometimes reduces pain. Got cloves or cayenne: both may reduce inflammation and cloves can numb pain. Get a warm moist clothe and let cloves set it in for awhile and palce near (not on) the wound. Check your teas, you moght find another pain reliever there too. How shower, ice: the hot cold treatments can help too.
Have somone rub your feet. Make a list of other things that you know about: put ice on another part of your body to detract the pain. Hope you can eat plenty and enjoy it!
