Genealogy Workshop With Lloyd Bockstruck

This event will be held at Hardesty Regional Library.
Event Description: Lloyd Bockstruck is one of the leading genealogy experts of our time. He heads the genealogy division at the Dallas Public Library and writes a weekly genealogy column in the Dallas Morning News. Topics for his workshop are “Loyalists and Tories During the American Revolution,” “Genealogical Research in the Old Northwest,” “Virginia: Where the British Empire Began” and “Onomatology: Surnames and Forenames and the Genealogists.”

Taking Control of Your Money!

This event will be held at Suburban Acres Library.
Event Description: Mary Thomas with Consumer Credit Counseling Centers of Oklahoma will give tips and advice on gaining control of your finances. Participants should track their spending habits for two weeks before the progam. Participants will complete a budget sheet during the event. Budget sheets are available at the library.
This event is for adults and teens.

MS Word IV: Taking Your MS Word Skills to the Next Level

This event will be held at Central Library, Computer Training Room.
Event Description: Learn how to do even more with MS Word using some of its most powerful features. You will explore mail merge, use tables to perform calculations and create on-screen forms. You should take an Enhancing Your MS Word Skills class prior to taking this class.

Swing and Sway the Powwow Way!

This event will be held at Zarrow Regional Library.
Event Description: Coordinated by Jr. Pratt, this group of intertribal dancers performs a variety of traditional American Indian dances representing different tribes. Learn powwow etiquette, and differences in dance styles and regalia. Audience participation is encouraged.
