Tulsa 66ers Slam Dunk Hunger

The Tulsa 66ers are planning a slam dunk against hunger when they take on the Colorado 14ers Thursday, March 13. A portion of the night’s ticket sales will help the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma in their efforts to fight hunger, feed hope. Tip off is 7 p.m. at Tulsa’s Expo Square Pavilion. Tickets start at $10. In order for sales to benefit the Food Bank, call (918) 585-8444 and mention the Food Bank’s name.
Food donations will be accepted the night of the game. Everyone who donates a sack of groceries will be entered into a drawing to win a lunch for two with one of the players and the coach. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased at the door the night of the game.
About Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma:
Founded in 1981, the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma is a private, nonprofit organization located in Tulsa, that distributes donated grocery items to 425 Partner Programs in 24 counties of Eastern Oklahoma. These programs include food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, after school programs, shelters and senior centers. In turn, those programs collectively feed 50,000 people each week, the equivalent of 539,000 meals per month. In addition, the Food Bank helps raise public awareness about hunger and the role of food banking in alleviating hunger. In Fiscal Year 2006, the Food Bank distributed over 9 million pounds of food.
About the NBA Development League:
