Monday - Closed to the Public; Office remains open Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium campus is closed on Mondays and most major holidays.
Inclement Weather Policy
If the Tulsa Public Schools are closed, the Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium will be closed.
James E. Bertelsmeyer Planetarium
The citizens of Tulsa County and many generous contributors have come together to create the first planetarium in our great city. Just as the light from a distant star illuminates the earth long after its inception, their dream will continue to inspire countless generations of future scientists, engineers, and explorers.
Seating is for 110. Admission and seating is on the basis of first-come, first-served. Seating may not be available for all showings. Visitors must be seated before presentation begins. No entry after doors areclosed, late arrivals attend next presentation. No food or drinks allowed in Planetarium.
The Planetarium offers 6 shows during the week, with 7 shows on Saturday and 4 shows on Sunday. Here’s a list of current shows:
Infinity Express: Brand NEW Show!
Take an exciting journey of discovery from our solar
system to the outer edges of the mapped universe.
Plunge into the depths of Valles Marineris on Mars,
and deep into the universe surrounded by the faint
light of distant galaxies. This explosive new
planetarium show includes awe-inspiring
images depicting the life cycle of stars taken by
NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope. Viewers of all
ages will experience a mesmerizing trip on Infinity
Express. Funded by The Kerr Foundation,
The NORDAM Group and The Mervin Bovaird Foundation.
Astronaut: The exploration of space is the
greatest endeavor humankind has ever undertaken.
Explore the amazing worlds of inner and outer
space, and encounter the perils that await space
travelers, as we subject our test astronaut, Chad, to
everything space has to throw at him. Discover if
you have what it takes to become an astronaut!

Oasis in Space: A beautiful voyage which
transports the audience through our universe, galaxy
and solar system in search of liquid water - a key
ingredient for life on Earth. With a proven, audiencetested
story, visually immersive imagery and an
original surround-format musical score, Oasis in
Space will delight viewers of all ages.
Night Skies over Green Country: Live
Planetarium presentation takes the audience on a
journey of the current local night sky. Visual
demonstrations will include what constellations and
planets are visible that night and include upcoming
celestial events like comets, meteor showers, and
eclipses. Program changes as the night sky changes.
